101DIGITAL LTD operates danbuilds and the website dan-builds.com. 101DIGITAL LTD is the controller of the personal data described in this notice.

Information we collect

When you contact us

If you use the enquiry form or contact us by email, we collect your name, email address, the contents of your message and any other information you choose to provide.

When you use the website

Our web server automatically records limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This may include your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, response status, browser or user-agent information and referring page.

For abuse prevention, the contact form also stores a protected identifier derived from your IP address and a one-way identifier for the human-check proof. These identifiers are not used to identify you or for advertising.

How and why we use your information

• To respond to enquiries and discuss possible work. We do this to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or because we have a legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us.
• To run, secure and troubleshoot the website. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in providing a reliable service and preventing spam, misuse and attacks.
• To meet legal obligations and protect legal rights. We use information where necessary to comply with law, keep required records or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not use contact-form details for unrelated marketing, and we do not make decisions about you solely by automated means.

Who we share information with

We use service providers that help us operate the website and receive email, including Hetzner for hosting and infrastructure in Germany, and Titan Mail, provided through Hosting.com, for email hosting and delivery. They process information only to provide those services.

We may also disclose information to professional advisers, courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities where this is necessary and lawful. We do not sell or rent personal information.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use providers and safeguards permitted by UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.

How long we keep information

• Enquiry correspondence is ordinarily kept for up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact. If an enquiry leads to work, relevant records may be kept for longer to administer the contract, meet tax and accounting duties, or handle legal claims.
• Website access logs are kept for no more than 30 days.
• Contact-form rate-limit and human-check identifiers are kept for no more than 24 hours.

We may keep information for longer where the law requires it or where it is needed for an active legal matter.

Cookies and tracking

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. The contact form uses a self-hosted human check to reduce spam; it does not send your information to an advertising network.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, have inaccurate data corrected, have data erased, restrict or object to its use, or receive data in a portable form. These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
